Carol Jo Alder

ALDER, Carol Jo – age 64 of Davison, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Hurley Medical Center. A Memorial Service will take place at 1PM on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Hill Funeral Home – 11723 S. Saginaw St. Grand Blanc, MI with visitation from 11AM until the time of service. Brother Donald Dennis officiating. Carol was born in Flint, MI on June 3, 1952 to Keith and Shirlee (McGregor) Alder. She attended school at Durant-Tuuri Mott. Carol lived at Kersey Adult Foster Care Home for the past several years. She worked at Wolcott for disabled individuals. Carol loved to go shopping, watching television, movies, and listening to Christian music. She also liked doing arts and crafts. Carol was a sweet and thoughtful person who seemed to always be smiling. Surviving are her father and step-mother, Keith (Carol) Alder; sister, Sally (Bob) Redman; step-brothers, Eric (Jan) Schlytter and Jamelle Schlytter; step-sister, Heather (Mark) McKellar; aunt, Dorothy McGregor; nephews Chris (Rachael) Redman, Bob (Wilma) Redman Jr., and Ron (Lana) Redman; niece, Nicki Rox; and cousins, Judy (Dennis) Sackman, Peggy (Bob) McNatt, Andy McGregor, and Beth McGregor. She was preceded in death by her mother Shirlee Alder on November 4, 1973, aunt, Doris McCormick; uncles, Jimmy McGregor and Benny McGregor. The family would like to give a special thank you to all the staff at Kersey Adult Foster Care Home for all of the love and care they gave to Carol for so many years.
