Clara Carrasco

CARRASCO, Clara, age 92, of Flint, died Friday, October 26, 2012 at her residence. Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 2316 W. Coldwater Road, Flint, MI, with Fr. Cecilio Reyna officiating. Interment to follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Carrasco will lie in state at the church at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends Tuesday, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc. A Rosary service will be held Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. Clara was born on March 9, 1920 in Goliad, Texas, daughter of Geronimo and Panfila Molina. She married Sijifredo Carrasco in 1940 and they moved to Michigan in 1953. Clara was a loving mother and has left a legacy of 4 generations. Left to cherish her memory are sons Miguel (Mallory), Sijifredo (Margie), Rojerio(Mary), Ernesto (Debbie), Roberto (Kay), daughters Oralia (Ric), Eva (Ricardo) and Tomasa (Edward), son-in-law Santos Berlanga, and sister-in-law Tonia Molina. She is also survived by 36 grandchildren, 75 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Sijifredo, daughters Hirenia and Esperanza, sons Santos and Rodolfo, and her dear sister Genoveva, who preceded her in death on Thursday.
