Cledious Dillashaw was born on December 28, 1935 to Fritz and Clara Holmes in Eva, Alabama. She was raised as a hard-worker, working on her parent’s farm and picking cotton. On February 4, 1955, she married the love of her life, Jack Dillashaw. They remained married for 67 years until her passing on March 11, 2022. Cledious and Jack moved to Michigan where they spent their lives together, along with their son, Rick Walden. They later had a daughter, Debra, and another son, Scott. Cledious worked at Kmart for 15 years while Jack worked at General Motors. They traveled back and forth through the years to Alabama to visit family. Cledious was very strong in her religion as a Southern Baptist and she loved to spend time with family and friends. She also enjoyed playing the piano and loved to sing.
Cledious is survived by her loving husband, Jack Dillashaw (Grand Blanc, Michigan); sons: Rick Walden (Eva, Alabama), Scott (Teresa) Dillashaw (Grand Blanc, Michigan); daughter, Debra (Fred Fusco) Glomski (Florida); granddaughter, Jessica (Nicholas) Stroud (Grand Blanc, Michigan); grandsons: Aaron (Mea) Glomski, Justin (Colleen) Dillashaw (Brighton, Michigan), and Anthony Hoffman (Flint, Michigan): and great grandchildren: Kiara Glomski, Braylon Glomski, Nathan Dillashaw, Lucas Dillashaw, Jacob Dillashaw, Alisha Walker, Aubrey Stroud, Alayna Stroud, Corinna Stroud, Nicholas Stroud Jr., and Jesse Stroud. Cledious is preceded in death by her mother and father, Clara and Fritz Holmes (Eva, Alabama), and her granddaughter, Tonya Regan (Daytona, Florida).
