Clifford Lee Dean

DEAN, Clifford Lee, of Flint, age 79, died Monday, February 22, 2010 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 1 pm Saturday, February 27, 2010 at the Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc. Interment to follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday 1 pm to 8 pm. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Clifford was born on July 14, 1930 in Flint, son of the late Clifford A. and Emily (Chaulk) Dean. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and had attended Flint Community College. He retired from G.M. -S.P.O. division. Clifford is survived by: his daughter Patricia (Jerry) Stoerkel of Flint; grandchildren Mike Hulen of Arkansas, Marcia Duby of Hale, MI, Jeremy Aikens of National City, MI, Jason Aikens of West Branch, MI, and Matt Pervin of Arkansas; great grand grandchildren Michael Hulen, Andrea Aikens, Austin Duby, Patricia Hulen, Alan Tinker, April Pervin, and Gunner Pervin; great great grandchild Ryan Tinker. Also survived by sisters Margaret Dean and Verna Cowell, several nephews and nieces, including special nieces Marsha (Roger) Wagner and Pat (Ben) Gregurick. The family would like to offer a special thank you to Clifford’s caregiver and ‘adopted’ daughter Kay Sullivan. In addition to his parents, Clifford was preceded in death by his wife Nora (Arnold) Dean and a daughter Veronica A. Mumper, both in 2000.
