Danena "Dee" Marie Hammer, of Burton, Michigan, died on December 30, 2020 at the age of 62, after a brave battle with Stage IV Colon Cancer.

Adored wife of Ralph Hammer II, since June 26, 2004; wonderful mother of Chandra Addison and Kathryne Hammer; proud grammy of Demi, Kaiden, Natalie, Madelyn, Angelyna, Benjamyn, and Kyra; loving daughter of Juanita (the late Lewis) Sweers; dear sister of Debbie Krapf; aunt of Robert, Staci, and Tiffany; also survived by 5 great-nieces and great-nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Danena was born on November 18, 1958 in Flint, Michigan. Known as "Dee" to her friends, she was a vibrant, feisty, goofy woman with a heart of gold. Her giving nature and loving soul often led her to go out of her way to help anyone who was in need, and she was quick to offer an encouraging word, or a smile that could brighten the darkest of rooms. She will be missed deeply by all whose lives were touched by her. She will be remembered for the beautiful, giving, loving woman she was.

The family will greet friends from Noon- 8:00pm on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw Rd., Grand Blanc. A Celebration of Dee's Life will take place at 1:00pm on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at the above location. Visitation from 12:30pm until time of service.

Dee,
We’ve had some memorable times together that’s for sure! Definitely heaven gained a special angel when you walked through the gates. No longer in pain. Watch over your family from up above and rest easy now.

Deenie,
Sweetest person. Rode the bus together all through school. She was kind, considerate and so caring. Her smile was room lighting.
Deenie, you made Heaven sweeter.
You will be missed on earth, but we know where to find you. ❤️

My mom was my best friend and shoulder for everything I needed. You were my hero! I love you so much and each moment without you feels so empty. I’m glad you are no longer in pain and am so proud to call you my mom. Rest in Heaven. I love you
