Daniel Stiehl

STIEHL, Daniel E. – Age 66, of Grand Blanc, went to be with his Lord Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich. Mr. Stiehl was born April 30, 1945 in Omer, MI the son of Robert and Eudora (Hayward) Stiehl. Dan was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Mr. Stiehl served his country with the U.S. Army. He enjoyed being with his grandchildren, golfing, boating and spending time outdoors. Dan was a huge sports fan following U. of M. MSU and the Detroit Lions. He was a lifelong Realtor and was a member of Flint Board of Realtors. On July 13, 1968 Dan married Sharon Carruthers and she survives him. Also surviving are children, Lisa (Tony) Parr, Lori (Martin) Matties, Jason (Kristi) Stiehl; grandchildren, Hailey, Sheridan, Luke and Lincoln; brother, Thomas Stiehl. Mr. Stiehl was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ronald Stiehl. Friends may visit the family from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hill Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Father Jonathan Perrotta will officiate. As were his wishes cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church or Genesys Hospice – Goodrich.
