Darla Jean Harris

Darla Jean Harris, age 84, of Flint, died Sunday, November 29, 2020, at Ascension Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Joseph Grant, Leland Harris, and Bruce (Pat) Harris; her brother, John White; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Darla was born November 30, 1935, in Flint, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Andrew and Olive (Heath) White. She married Leland Harris, and they shared fifty wonderful years together until Leland’s death on September 4, 2018. In her free time, Darla loved to spend time outdoors working in her garden. She also enjoyed crafting, sewing, and painting. She was a wonderful woman who will be missed by many.

Darla was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Olive; her loving husband, Leland; and her brother, Bob.

Darla’s family will be present to receive friends on Friday, December 4, 2020, from 3:30 pm until 7:00 pm at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 Hill Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48439. On Monday, December 7, 2020, Darla will be entombed at Crestwood Cemetery at 10:00 am.
