David Michael Abdella Jr.

David Michael Abdella Jr., of Flint passed away on April 11, 2021. Devoted husband to Barbara Abdella of 45 years; loving father of Nicole Abdella (Kendra Potter), Scott (Kari) Honea and Michelle (Brandon) Hill ; proud grandfather of Tyler, Devon, Bailey, Collin, Chase, Finnegan, Faolon , Aariah and Aadainian ; dear brother of Theresa (Marvin) Harbin and uncle to many nieces and nephews.

David "Jr.", was born in Flint to the late David Michael Sr. and Ina Mae Abdella. He was a graduate of Flint Southwestern High School and was employed by GM for 40 years. David was a collector of fine things such as sports memorabilias and cigars. David "Jr.", at any given time he could be found watching some kind of sporting event because he loved sports and smoking his favorite cigar the "Macanudo". David was loved and will be missed by many. in lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the Genesee County Humane Society.

SO SORRY!! FOR YOUR LOSS BARB.I lived across the street from Daves parents for 22yrs.322 Leta Ave.I was born and raised the street over on Burroughs Ave.Dave and his Family knew My Family.Dave also went to Southwestern with My older Brother Ronald.Dave was a gentle giant of a man.He will be greatly missed.Again So Sorry Barb!!#.

Barb, so sorry for your loss. Growing up next door to Dave was a joy in life, as we were very close up until I got married and moved away. He was best man at our wedding in 1963 and I considered him a life long friend even if we didn't see each other much after that. I remember meeting you and seeing him at the Sloan Fair in August a bunch of years ago. I can only share your grief but offer prayers for you and the family will find peace in his passing.
