Oh Denny!! Where do I start? You were much more than a cousin to me. You were my "brother", best friend. We always had each other's back. Sauna nights, growing up, were so much fun. When satellite dish was installed we would watch Big Joe's Polka Party. We would drink our Mountain Dew pop, the others would have coffee. Sometimes play cards...500 rummy or cribbage. When I would come over we would nuke vollwerths bologna & white bread for lunch. Playing with Partner, throwing his favorite ball. Denny was always there for us. Plowing snow, helped whenever whoever needed it. You will be missed. Until I see you again...
Love Always

Denny wasn't just our cousin, he was a big brother to Sharon and I as well . Growing up we would butt heads, but that was all part of being such a close knit family. Denny was always there when you needed him, and I learned a lot from him. Even when I borrowed his Schwinn Bike to ride all around Aura or when I used his new car (because it had an automatic transmission)to get my driver's license, he was ok with all of it as long as I didn't eat all his Brach's Chocolate Stars Candy that was hidden in the cupboard. Having birthdays and holidays together all of our life made for many very special memories. You will be missed Denny! Rest in Peace. Love, Karen

Kim has many memories and liked spending time with Denny. Kim asked him to be our best man and what an honor it was to have him stand in our wedding. I always thought Denny was a quiet, shy guy but he really wasn't until he got to know you better. He knew a lot about logging, raising fox and so much more, he was a good friend to many. I found out how smart and fast he was with math when we worked together selling tickets at the Aura Jamboree. He will be missed by many. Our condolences to Sherry, his relatives and friends. RIP Denny.

Denny along with his Mom and Dad were the first people I got to know when I first moved to Aura 45 years ago....They helped a young couple get their first winters wood and get settled into our rustic little cabin..And when my first husband passed Denny along with a few other neighbors made sure I had all the help I needed....The memories go on from there....All good ones...Denny was a special person and will be truly missed by many....Rest In Peace Denny.....

Denny will be very missed. I remember taking him fishing in Wisconsin. He was so used to fishing on the big lake that when he got a bite he would set the hook so hard that the bobber or the fish itself would come flying through the air right at us. I've never had to duck so often when fishing. It was hilarious. In the middle of our fishing trip we would take a break on the island. We packed along a grill and have burgers and his favorite German potato salad that I would make especially for him.
We enjoyed many excursions with Denny and Alta. They were both so dear to me.
