Dolores Eloise Lazar

LAZAR, DOLORES (Dee), loving wife, mother, and grandmother, age 90, of Burton, MI, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at her home. Visitation will be Sunday, June 3 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc. Funeral Services follow at 1:00 P.M., with Dr. Maxwell Taylor officiating. Interment will be at the Assyrian Cemetery. Dolores was born March 29, 1922 in Minneapolis, MN, to parents Gilbert and Rosalie (Sybilrude) Johnson. Dolores played 7 musical instruments, and was an accomplished Norwegian and Assyrian cook. Surviving are husband Calvin Lazar, married for 57 years; children Edvard (Elizabeth) Lazar, Nancy Lazar (George Zachar); grandchildren Katherine and Gregory Lazar, Adam and Samantha Lazar Zachar; sister Sybil (William) Michner; nephews William E. Michner, Douglas G. Johnson, Michael Johnson; niece Patricia Johnson. Preceded in death by her parents; baby daughter Mary Sybil Lazar and brother Lt. Col. Donald Johnson. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Assyrian Cemetery.
