ANDREWS, Donald C. "Andy" – age 80 of Burton, MI passed away at his residence on Thursday, December 11, 2014. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 18, 2014 from 12PM-4PM and again from 5PM-8PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11AM on Friday, December 19, 2014. Pastor Pat England officiating. Interment will take place immediately following at Crestwood Cemetery. Donald was born April 9, 1934 in Flint, MI to the late Robert and Geraldine (Fox) Andrews. He married Shirley Edick on May 14, 1955 in Flint, MI at Lincoln Park United Methodist Church. He was most recently a member of Grand Blanc United Methodist Church in Grand Blanc. He retired from General Motors after many years. Donald was an extremely social person. He loved people. He was an event manager for the Genesee County Fair. He was involved with the Flint Farmers Market for over 25 years. He was the owner of Don’s Sip & Dip which had two locations, one at the Flint Farmers Market and another in Courtland Center. He always thanked people for coming in, even if they didn’t stop at his shop. Donald was also a NASCAR enthusiast. Donald is survived by his wife; Shirley Andrews, sons; Charles (Becky) Andrews, and Robert (Michelle) Andrews, grandchildren; Grant and fiancée Ashley, Ashley Jean, Taylor, Liam, Logan, Kyle, Jordan, Eva, and Austin, great-grandchildren; Braden and Keegan, sisters; Pat Eaton and Janet Davis, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister; Barbara Anderson. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the family.
