Dorothy E Wells Hosner

HOSNER, Dorothy E. - of Mason, formally of Flint, age 84, passed away Monday, January 2, 2012. The family will receive friends at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc, MI from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2012. Private interment at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Dorothy was born October 15, 1927 the daughter of the late, Leo and Dorothy (Hazelton) Wells. She graduated from Central High School in 1945 and married her high school sweetheart, Lloyd, and became a homemaker. Dorothy died of a broken heart following the death of her husband of 65 years, Lloyd on October 2, 2011 and her daughter, Bethany on June 19, 2011. Dorothy was a kind and gentle person who dedicated her life to her family. She was active in Alanon for many years and enjoyed all the people she met there. Surviving are: daughter, Linda (Jerry) Colby; granddaughters, Jennifer (Jim) Rogers and Kristin (Mark) Snelson; great-granddaughters, Allison Ruiz, Jessie Ruiz, and Emma Snelson; and her faithful companion Lucky the cat. The family wishes to express a special thank you to McLaren Hospice of Lansing for all the support and the wonderful care given these last six weeks, especially visiting nurses, Joan who came out when we needed her and Morgan, who came out in the cold and snow the night she died.
