Elizabeth "Liz" Ann Johnson

Elizabeth “Liz” Ann Johnson, age 89 of Caro, formerly of Flint, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2020. She was born on September 28, 1930 in Holly to parents Cornelius and Myrtle (Sherwood) Wetenhall. Liz attended Flint Northern High School and was a U of M graduate. She later was employed at AC Spark Plug. She was an avid fan of football and baseball, specifically U of M and the Detroit teams and the Chicago Cubs. Liz is survived by her children: Karen (Harvey) Francis, Valerie (Ronald) Nelson, Cathy Hipps, Carrie (Dennis) Skaggs, Kim Adams, Brian (Bonnie) Johnson; 14 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both parents; brothers: William and Thomas Wetenhall; sister, Sandra Barry; grandson, Joshua Barnes; great grandchildren: Samantha Bush and Asher Barnes. The family would like to give special thanks to her lifelong friend who was more like a sister to her, Diana Wilcox, and to the staff at Tuscola Medical Facility for their continuous care and compassion. A private family graveside service will be held at Lakeside Memorial Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
