The Papp Family,
Ethel was a witty, thoughtful, and graceful person as I knew her. We shared many giggles during visits, and enjoyed telling each other animal stories and other goofy stuff. I last visited with her 2 weeks ago, and was supposed to visit again last Wednesday but business got in the way. I am so very sorry that I missed that last visit. I stopped today to see her, little knowing that she was probably watching me from above... maybe she had a little smile on her face as she observed my attempted visit.
Thank you for enriching my life Ethel. Rest in peace...from your old mail lady and very much your friend.

Dave's comments were echoed by my late Parents too. I grew up knowing the significance of Judge Papp and your family. My parents spoke in reverence and proudness of your Great Aunt and your families achievement being from Flint. I was raised to know that the Papp family was a family from Flint that I should be proud or their Great achievements. Little did I know that young blonde teenage girl who sat next to me in Criminal Justice class at the time in the late 1970's was from that same family my parents spoke so highly of. Over the years, you have become more like family than a friend and we share with you the loss of a Grand Dame from Flint's history and Great Generation and most importantly, your beloved Auntie. Love Matt & Michelle

To the family of Ms. Ethel Papp:

On behalf of my family I wish to send to my most sincere condolences to you. Ms. Papp represents one of the GREAT historical families in Flint history.

My mother's family (Pavelich) used to speak with such reverence of the Papp's. My mother and uncle spoke with great pride of the successes her family represented from Flint's prideful north side.

Although I did not know Ms. Papp well, we would occasionally visit when I would see her lunching at Warwick Hills. She and her sister would always inquire about my family and share a story from years gone by.

Please know that my thoughts are with you during this most difficult time.
