Eva Mae Dickerson Minniear

Eva Mae Dickerson Minniear (nee Bennett) was born January 22, 1922 in the rural farming community of Davison, Michigan and left us on December 16, 2013. She was the next to the youngest child of Alvin David and Eila Maude Bennett. Eva married Vernon Hathaway Dickerson of Union, Missouri on June 4, 1946 and they settled inFlint, Michigan where they raised their three children. Widowed in 1990, Eva met and married Joseph Minniear and soon after moved to St. Augustine, Florida to live near Eva’s great grandchildren. Eva was preceded in death by her sisters, Shirley Lorraine Pease, Alice Emily Chapel and Gladys Maude Cooper, her brothers Alvin, Robert and Wilbur Bennett and her daughter-in-law Dr. Kimberley Stearns Dickerson. She is survived by her sister Mary Lucille Doughty, her husband Joseph Minniear, children

Sherry Ann Dickerson, Jean Marie Courter and Donald Jess Dickerson, son-in-law Guy Ray Courter, Jr., step children Diane Lumsden husband Dennis, Paul G Minniear wife Nancy, Elaine Wascher husband Ray, Joanie Wooten husband Terry, grandchildren Nathaniel McKinley Courter, Alexander Ray Courter, Alicia Jean Gallaher Hinds, Jessie Lynn Pelow-Dickerson, Portia Andre Dickerson, Anna Jean Courter, Shayla Dickerson and Shannon Brooke Dickerson, grandson-in-law Jason Hinds, granddaughter in-law Mary Mangus Courter, great grand children Allison Nicole Courter, Emily Francis Courter, Samuel Alexander Courter and Autumn Elizabeth Courter, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends who have loved and adored her and will sorely miss her in their lives. Services will be held at 11 am Saturday December 28, 2013 at Brown Funeral Home of Grand Blanc, Michigan.
