

CALDWELL, Faye – age 95 of Davison, MI passed away Monday, September 21, 2015 at The Cottage of Davison, MI. Visitation will be held Friday, September 25, 2015 from 9:30AM-10:30 AM with a Funeral Service beginning at 10:30AM at Hill Funeral Home – 11723 S. Saginaw St. Grand Blanc, MI. Pastor Dale Lewis officiating. Entombment will take place in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Faye Caldwell was born in Clarkton, Missouri on June 9, 1920. She was the 5th daughter of George Henry and Anna (Byrd) Thornberry. Faye’s maternal grandparents and mother crossed the Mississippi river in a covered wagon in the winter of 1900 and camped along the river banks. Faith, strength, courage, and determination was her natural family trait. Faye married her late husband Harold Caldwell in 1962. Faye was a life member of Pilgrim Chapter Flint #138 Order of the Eastern Star and worthy matron of Pilgrim Chapter #447 Order of the Eastern Star in 1977. Surviving are her children; John Allen (Joyce) Brandon of Arizona, James Brandon of Grand Blanc, MI, and Sue Cordero of Wisconsin; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Faye was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold Caldwell; her sisters; daughter, Peggy Wiskur; granddaughter, Debbie Brandon-Nolff; and great-grandson, Andre Martin. The family would like to extend a very special thanks to Dr. Sattar and his staff and also to the staff at The Cottage of Davison.
