

Floyd was born on February 19, 1933. He was a wonderful man who loved sightseeing around the beautiful state of Michigan. When he traveled to places such as Wyoming, Idaho and Utah he enjoyed taking in the beautiful scenery and seeing the different colored rocks. Floyd worked for General Motors for thirty years. He proudly served in the United States Army. Floyd was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Floyd leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Beth; son Phillip (Doreen) Thornton; daughters Charlene Thornton and Debra Thornton Gurney; stepsons Dean (Patty) Boismier and Eric (Mary Alice) Boismier; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Floyd was preceded in death by his many brothers and sisters.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Thornton family.
A funeral service for Floyd will take place on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home - 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan with visitation one hour prior. An interment with military honors will occur at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
