Francis Gardenhire Cox Jr.

In his early years, Francis served in the United States Navy and was a proud Vietnam Veteran. He also attended college at Rose Hulman Institute of Technology to receive his bachelor's and master's degree in engineering. He later went on to work for General Motors as an Electrical Engineer for over 40 years. Throughout his life, Francis was Cubmaster for his local Cub Scout Troop with his sons. After retirement, he then became a full time caregiver for his wife and children.

Francis is survived by his wife, Patricia; children: Timothy Cox, Jeffrey Cox, and Sara Cox; and cousins: Sarah Markey and Liz Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Gardenhire Cox Sr. and Patricia Plum Failey.

Services for Francis will be on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 beginning with visitation at11:00 am followed by memorial service at 12:00 pm. Inurnment to follow at with military honors at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
