JOHNSON, GARNET age 79, of Davison, MI, died Sunday August 3, 2014 at the University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor. Funeral Services will be 12:30 P.M., Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, MI. Rev. Sarah LaRose– Nettell officiating. Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. with a Masonic Memorial at 12:00 P.M. Garnet was born May 23, 1935 in Wisner, MI to parents Howard and Marian (McKeachie) Johnson. He was a member of the Grand Blanc Moose Lodge #2344, Davison VFW Post #4087, Otisville Masonic Lodge #401 F&AM, Elf Khurafeh Shrine Center and the Elf Khurafeh Shrine Clowns. Surviving are wife Luella “Lou”; children Ramona (Leroy) Craft, Junior (Mary) Johnson, Sheryl (Tom) Wallace, Hope (Kevin) Edmonson; grandchildren Jessica, Thomas, Paul, Robert, Nathan, Kahlia, Clayton, Cory; several great-grandchildren; sister Evangeline (Jim) Campbell; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by grandson Brian Johnson and great-grandson Isaiah Wallace. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Shrine Hospitals for Children.
