Gary Allen Herz

HERZ, GARY ALLEN age 50, of Byron, MI, was drawn into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, December 20, 2016. Memorial service will be 1:00 pm Friday, December 30, 2016 at The Rock Church, 11400 Linden Rd., Fenton MI 48430, Pastor Wes Morris officiating. Family will receive visitors from 12:00 pm until the time of service. Gary was born September 13, 1966 in Baltimore, MD to parents Frank Herz and Sue (Engel) Martin. He enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, gardening, woodworking, and playing with his dogs. Gary worked for Gordon Food Service Transportation – Brighton for 11 years. Surviving are wife Monica; daughters Cara and Dana Herz, and Rachel Smith; son Kenny Ross and grandson Graeson Ross; mother and step-father Sue and Norman Martin; brother Jeff (Janet) Herz; sister Karen (Tim) O’Bryan; in-laws Charles and Kathryn Ross; sisters-in-law Heather (Greg) Vadasz, and Amy Ross; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by father Frank Herz. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
