MARTIN, Gary Robert age 84, died Saturday, October 17, 2026, at home surrounded by family and beloved friends. Memorial Services will be announced at a later date. Gary was born September 13, 1942 in Flint, MI to parents Robert and Clara Anne (Lingle) Martin. He worked as a tool-and-die maker, gear engineer, foreman, and helicopter pilot at Buick Transmission, Flint, MI. He enjoyed grouse hunting, salmon and walleye fishing, making maple syrup, beekeeping, 3D printing, and contacting extraterrestrials. Surviving are sons, Jason and Matthew; daughter-in-law Mary; grandchildren Lily and Logan; sibling Rick Martin; nephew Karter Burgdorf; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife Barbara Martin, daughter Melissa Martin, father Robert Glenn Martin, mother Clara Anne Martin, and sister Marcia Patrick.
