

MESSER, Glen Robert, Lieutenant Commander, United States Navy, died Monday, January 16, 2012 in Virginia at the age of 39. Funeral services will be held 1 pm Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at the Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Father William F. Wegher, officiating. Interment & Military Honors to immediately follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday 4 pm to 8 pm. Glen was born on November 13, 1972 in Fairfield, California, A Professional Engineer, Glen earned his MSME from University of Colorado – Boulder in 2011 and his BSME from University of Michigan in 1994 and was currently serving as Design Director, NEMSCOM, Cheatham Annex, Williamsburg, Virginia. His previous positions included Legal Officer, NMCB3, Port Hueneme, CA, from 2007 to 2010 and AROICC, New Orleans from 2002 to 2005. He had been previously employed as a Design Engineer with General Motors, Cadillac division. He married Angela (nee Heller) of Hanover, Maryland on February 14, 2002 in Newport News, VA. Glen is survived by his wife, Angela Messer, children Jordan Thomas Crum, Austin Robert Messer, and Sierra Nicole Messer, all of Carrollton, VA, parents Robert and Leocadia (nee Kortas) Messer of Flint, sisters Deborah Morton of Flint, Beth Woodall of Mt.
