Glenn Daniel Cook, of Grand Blanc, MI passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at the age of 82. Glenn was born on July 4, 1944 to Ruth and Charles Cook. He attended Grand Blanc Schools then began his work life at the Yankee Store. From there Glenn hired into the General Motors Company where he worked at Fisher Body, the Truck and Bus plant, and retired from Buick.
In 1964 Glenn married his lifelong sweetheart, Janet Shaker and they shared 62 loving years together taking in all the good and bad life had to give. Glenn was a true role model for "a good man" never letting all the trials and tragedies he and Jan endured diminish his great personality.
He was a wonderful husband, father, grandpa, son, brother, brother-in-law, and friend. His humor was droll and a bit edgy but that's what we loved about him.
Glenn was preceded in death by his children, Michele and Daniel; granddaughter, Alycia Cook; his parents; three brothers: Bud, Don, Larry; and two sisters, Linnea and Beverly.
There will be visitation on Monday, October 19, 2026 from 4pm to 8pm at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, MI. The funeral service will be held at Hill Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at 11am with a visitation from 10am to 11am.
