Gloria Jean Jessup

JESSUP, Gloria Jean, age 84, of Grand Blanc, passed away Friday, May 10, 2013 at home. A gathering of family and friends will be will be 2:00-5:00PM Saturday at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc. Memorial donations may be made to the Leader Dogs for the Blind or the Humane Society. Gloria was born May 16, 1928 in Decatur, Illinois the daughter of the late Cyril S. and Felicia (Morrow) Maxwell. She married to Robert Jessup on December 30, 1949 and he preceded her in death on January 11, 2011. Gloria was a “social reporter” for the Birmingham Eccentric which allowed her to be a stay at home Mom while her children were young. She then spent several years in the retail industry, and later was employed by Old Kent Bank and Fifth Third Bank for 10 years. Gloria was a member of St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, Grand Blanc. Surviving are her two daughters, Lynn Rosewarne and husband, Michael, Lori Potrzuski and husband, Tom; three grandchildren, Dr. Jaime Rosewarne, J. Paul Potrzuski, Shane Potrzuski; and her “guardian angel”, Brody. She was also preceded in death by her son, Bob Jessup in 2007. Online condolences may be shared at www.hillfh.com
