STANLEY, HOWARD PAUL age 86, died peacefully August 31, 2014 at the Durand Convalescent Center. Funeral Services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, MI. Interment at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Howard was born October 16, 1927 in Marquette, MI to parents Sigmund and Mary (Musolf) Stanley. He served in the U.S. Army and Air Force during “Clean Up” after WW II in Germany and Japan. After his discharge he moved to Flint, MI and worked for General Motors for 38 years, retiring in 1991. On April 29, 1955 he married Thelma Cushaway and they celebrated their 59th anniversary this year. Howard was an avid golfer and bowler. He enjoyed photographing nature scenes. He also enjoyed traveling the U.S. with his wife. Surviving are wife “Jimmy” and many-many nieces and nephews
