

BECKER, Jack C. – age 96 of Grand Blanc, MI passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Genesee Care Center. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 27, 2015 from 2PM-4PM and again from 6PM-8PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 12PM at Hill Funeral Home – 11723 S. Saginaw St. Grand Blanc, MI with one hour of visitation prior. Pastor Patrick England officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Jack was born October 20, 1919 on the family farm on Reid Rd. to Ernest and Silence (Conquest) Becker. After graduating from Grand Blanc High School in 1937, he went on to work for Michigan National Bank and retired from there after being the Assistant Vice President for 40 years. He then proceeded to work as a controller for the Mott Foundation. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps during WWII where he was stationed in the Pacific area. Jack married Marian Howell on January 24, 1942 at the US Naval Station in Ohio. He and Marian built their own home in 1947 where they maintained their very own 9 hole golf course. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, traveling, and sports. Jack was a big MSU fan. He also loved nature and wildlife. Jack was known to be a good boss, as he was very patient, hardworking, and very likeable. He was very quiet, yet strong, and a very family-oriented man. He was a member of Grand Blanc United Methodist Church, Marine Corps League Flint Detachment #155, Angler’s Aweigh Fish Club, and American Institute of Banking – University of Wisconsin. Jack was also the Justice of Peace in Grand Blanc Township from 1964-1968. Surviving are his wife of 72 years, Marian Becker; daughter, Jacklinn (Jeffrey) Brayan; grandchildren, Lindsey Becker (Matt Brawner), Jarad (Kelly) Becker, and Travis (Amber) Brayan; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Gonsler; and many other special family members, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Bradley C. Becker; grandson, Logan CJ Brayan; and brother, Donald Becker. Those desiring may make contributions to the Genesee County 4-H.
