James R. Corwin, age 83 of Flint, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2016. He was born on February 13, 1933 in Flint to parents George A. and Othie L. (Everett) Corwin. James retired from GM after 33 years. He loved woodworking and made several birdhouses which his family members will always cherish. James was a loving father and grandfather and he will be greatly missed. James is survived by his daughters: Ginger (George) Shapardon, Penny (Rex) Ferguson; grandchildren: Nicholas Shapardon, Tera Williams, Matthew (Alana) Ferguson, and Mitchell (Ann) Ferguson; nine great grandchildren; special friend, Pete Flanders. He was preceded in death by both parents; wife, Shirley Corwin; five brothers; and one sister. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
