James Lannom

LANNOM, James R. – Age 84, of Burton, died Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Brian’s House. Mr. Lannom was born August 9, 1927 in Bradford, Tennessee the son of Abby and Katie Lannom. He served his country with the U.S Navy during W.W. II in the Pacific. Jim loved collecting cars. He was a Supervisor with General Motors for 31 years. On March 1, 1952 Jim married Vivian Frecoe and she survives him. Also surviving are children, James W. (Deborah) Lannom, Randolph Lannom, Debra (Michael) Marshall; grandchildren, Brent, Manuel, Eddie and David; sister, Eva Sellinger; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Lannom was preceded in death by his parents Abby and Katie Lannom, son, Edward Lannom and sister, Jean Holt. Friends may visit the family from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Hill Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the funeral home. Rev. John Grantham will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Brian’s House.
