Jeanette Regina Hughes

HUGHES, Jeanette R. – age 87, of New Smyrna Beach, FL, formerly of Grand Blanc, MI, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, January 2, 2015 from 4PM-8PM. A Rosary Service will be prayed Friday evening at 7PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 3, at 10AM with one hour of visitation prior to the service at Holy Family Catholic Church – 11824 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, MI 48439. Father Gary Koenigsknecht celebrant. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Jeanette was born October 18, 1927 in Alpena, MI to the late Fredrick and Velina (DesOrmeau) King. She moved to Flint, MI and worked at Fisher Body where she met her husband Albert E. Hughes whom she married on January 3, 1951. She was a devoted mother of six children. Jeanette is survived by her children, Richard (Beverly) Hughes, Albert (Mary) Hughes, Deborah Ludwig and Daniel Valdes, Nancy (Jim) Fletcher, Linda Hughes and Socrates Sakelaris, and Donna (Michael) Ransdell; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Albert E. Hughes who passed away on July 14, 2000; and granddaughter, Wendy Marie Hughes.
