Jerome Jerry Lawrence Kelly Jr.

KELLY Jr., Jerome Lawrence, “Jerry” age 80, of Grand Blanc, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015. The family welcomes friends and family to visit and remember Jerry’s life on Friday from 2:00pm-5:00pm at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc. Cremation will follow the gathering. Memorial contributions may be made to The Humane Society.

Jerry was born November 12, 1934 in Detroit the son of the late J. Lawrence and E. Viola (Ealy) Kelly. He was a graduate of Lawrence Tech and the University of Detroit completing his education in Civil Engineering. He was self-employed most of his life, and was collaborative in many local construction accomplishments.

Jerry loved traveling; he visited Africa, Alaska, Barcelona, China Italy and Hawaii to name a few. He also enjoyed NASCAR, boating and snowmobiling. He was a good Dad, with a great sense of humor. He will be missed. Surviving are his children, Michael L. Kelly of Grand Blanc, Theresa Anne of White Lake, J. Michelle Boone (Walter) of Waterford, Patrick F. Kelly of Waterford, Timothy Jerome Kelly of Grand Blanc; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, C.R. Kelly (Barbara) of Novi; sister, Karen Faust of Beaverton; sister-in-law, Shirley Kelly of West Bloomfield; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Paul E. Kelly.
