JoAnn M. Blanc

JoAnn M. Blanc, age 85, of Grand Blanc, Michigan, peacefully passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026. JoAnn was born on October 25, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan. She was predeceased by William Blanc, her loving husband of 61 years. Also, by her brother, Michael Fleming, and grandmother, Ora Hendrick.

JoAnn is survived by her sons Bill (Terri) Blanc and Mike (Jan) Blanc. Also, by her grandchildren Matthew (Holli) Blanc, Ashley (Justin) Bakko, Billy Blanc, and her great grandchildren Mackenzie, Jackson, Emma and Lydia. She is survived by many nieces and nephews as well.

JoAnn grew up in Detroit, before moving to Warren, Michigan when she married. She then moved to Highland, Michigan where she and her husband Bill built their home and resided for 33 years prior to moving to Grand Blanc in 2007. While JoAnn was employed at a variety of jobs over the years, she will be remembered mostly as an amazing caregiver to her grandchildren, an impeccable homemaker and hostess, and an excellent cook. She enjoyed arts and crafts, traveling, playing cards, baking, and trying her luck on the slot machines at the casino. Most of all, she enjoyed entertaining guests in her home and sharing many laughs with her family and friends.

A visitation will be held at Saint Mark's Evangelist Catholic Church in Grand Blanc on February 16, 2026 from 11:00 am to 12:00pm to be followed by a memorial mass at noon. She will be laid to rest at All Saints Cemetery in Waterford following the service.
