Joel F. Rosedahl

ROSEDAHL, Joel F. - of Grand Blanc, age 84, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014 at McLaren-Flint. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2014 at the Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, MI with Pastor Carl Bloom officiating. Visitation 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Fund. Joel was born in Flint, Michigan on September 10, 1930 and was a lifelong resident of Grand Blanc. He attended Michigan State University and then served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He graduated from GMI in 1960. Mr. Rosedahl served as the Director of Quality Control and Engineering at Fisher Body #1. Surviving are: wife, Lillian; sister, Sharon Rosedahl Burr; children, Susan J. (Richard) Perez, Sarah (Leisa Fearing) Rosedahl, and Sandra Borton; step-children, Karen (David) Riner and Timothy Sutliff; grandchildren, Joel R. Perez, Nicholas Barrentine, Corey Barrentine, Heather Ettinger, Courtney Sutliff, Matthew and Kyler Janzer; great-grandson, David Barrentine. Mr. Rosedahl was preceded in death by his first wife, Jacqueline Rosedahl, step-son, Kirk E. Sutliff, and son-in-law, Thomas Borton. Please share your condolences with the family at www.hillfh.com.
