John was and will always be great man. He was a father figure and mentor for me in the outdoor pursuits where we shared so much in common. I had Hunting property next to John will always appreciate the years of companionship we had. I will also always appreciate the the Sugar Beet and Venison Soup he made and shared with me. He was a giving and kind person. When I think back on John, I will always see him sitting in his old Lazyboy recliner in front of the wood burner in his hunting camp as content as anyone could be. Till our next hunt John, stay warm by the fire!

John is the person responsible for me becoming a firefighter. Also that same year 1970 John was the one responsible for me becoming an antenna installer. I grew up 2 houses from John and his family. I owe a lot to John Loper and will always hold him in high esteem. God Bless John and family. Respectfully Bruce Harbin.

John helped me become a firefighter in Flint, also got me into the TV antenna work which I did for 44 years. I owe a lot to John, always looked up to him and wanted to be like him. Always impressed me how his grand kids loved him. Will miss you John. God Bless.

Dear Mike, Cathy and family,
Audrey and I want to offer our sincerest condolences on the passing of John. We will always remember his positive outlook on life and his absolute love for family. We stopped by your apartment in Aruba to see
you and John was holding down the fort. We stayed for a long time and it was an absolute pleasure to listen to many of his charming stories . He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
