To the Schlaud family. So sorry to hear of the passing of your husband -dad.  Sorry i missed the service. I didn't realize until today this had happened. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

So sorry to hear this.  I just lost my Father Bill Schlaud on May 19th.  I know the sorrow you are feeling.  My thoughts are with you all.

John was such a fine husband and you have so many memories. I always enjoyed talking with him about the history of the area. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.

Dorothy, I am so sad to hear of the loss of your husband. I knew of him through both the Flint Banjo Club, he was a friend of my father Wayne Butts, and the Flint Genealogical society. You and your family are in my prayers.

He is not really gone ,  he is just away and you will one day be together again.  I will be there for you Dorothy anytime ... when you can get ahold of  me.

I've lost my e-mail & genealogy buddy; sure will miss him! Just heard fr/ him a week or so ago! So unexpected! We shared an aunt, Mildred (Schlaud) Sweeney. I'm praying a Rosary f/ the repose of his dear soul tomorrow. Too ill to attend funeral, but you're all in my thoughts & prayers.

John was my mother's cousin, but I didn't actually get to know him until about 15 years ago.  I was doing genealogy research and had come to an impasse.  He very generously helped me with my problem and continued to be supportive in the following years.
