I just heard that Joe had passed away.  This information flashed back wonderful memories of the projects that Joe & I, and many others while employed with Dow Corning.  Joe was, without any question, one of the finest man, Chemist, and friend, any one could ever have.  These memories bring a quick smile to recall our time together.

I knew Woodie as a child in Garnett, Kansas, and had been informed that he had had a career with Dow.  I have spent the past 50 years plus at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, but I was never able to find his address and therefore to locate him.  If she survives, I send my condolences to Martha Jane, his wife, whom I knew well, and to their children, whom I never met.
