Joseph Luketich of Mt. Morris, age 96, died Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Hurley Medical Center. Friends may visit the family from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, MI. At the wishes of Mr. Luketich there will be no funeral service. He requested Graveside Services, which will be 10 a.m. on Friday at Flint Memorial Park, those wishing to process to the cemetery please meet the family at the funeral home. Rev. Joe M. Luketich officiating. Mr. Luketich was born in Hibbing, Minnesota on February 17, 1918 the son of Matthew and Mary (Yourgovich) Luketich. He married Helen L. Stefanic on September 4, 1937. Joseph served in the U.S. Air Force from 1943 – 1946 as a Bombardier Officer during W.W.II. He enjoyed sports, hunting, fishing, golfing and spending time with his family. Mr. Luketich worked at and retired from General Motors A.C. Spark Plug as Supervisor of Production Control after 30 plus years. Surviving are son, Joseph M. Luketich and wife Mary Kay; 2 grandchildren, Julie Anne Pannett, of Fenton and Brad Luketich of Mt. Morris; great grandson, Josh Delbridge of Fenton; brother Jim (Helen) Luketich of Flint. Mr. Luketich was preceded in death by his wife Helen; sisters, Anne Burgess, Kate Janes, Rose Markanovich and Caroline Thome; brothers, Jerry, John, Paul and Pete Luketich.
