Niemershien, Joyce of Rochester Hills, Michigan, passed on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.Born in Flint, Michigan on April 2, 1928 to parents Edman and Mabel Karnes. Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Patricia Markajevich Leslee, parents Edman and Mabel Karnes, brother Charles Karnes, nephew Michael Karnes, husbands John Markajevich and Peter Niemershien.
Surviving are sister in law Dorothy Karnes, special sounsins Carl and Marilyn Farmer and family, Virginia Klees and family. Special friends, neighbors Brooke Rennert.
Joyce belonged to American Legion and VFW Auxiliary - was an avid reader, enjoyed playing sports and enjoyed Tigers, Pistons and Lions.
Honoraring Joyce's wishes, no service will be held. Burial has taken place at Crestwood Cemetery.
