I use to work at walmart until 2002 with June bug. I was 16 almost 17 when I met her. She was my favorite door greeter back then. We were very close even after I didn't work there anymore. I would always make sure she got pictures of my boys every school year and since she use to live around the corner from me I would make sure to go see her with my boys so she could see them in their costumes. She always made sure I called her grandma June and she was my family. I called her June bug lol. I will never forget how she would walk as fast as her legs could go to give me a hug saying oh Sarah. When things weren't so good for me in my marriage she was there to hug me and make sure I knew she was there for me. I just wish I had stayed in touch after I moved out of flint. She was a great women. Better to me then my own grandmother. She was family. Rest in peace my June bug.

We met June through her neighbor Roger Ellis. She was a wonderful and sweet lady. We would talk, share a dessert and listen to her stories of Buttons , Bows, Calvin, and Morgan her kitty cats. She is now in heaven with that warm smile of hers. Roger may you know what a blessing you were to June....she said she loved you like a son and it showed. With deepest sympathy Shelly and Kathy.
