

Karen Marie Alvarado, age 77, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, in West Branch, Michigan. She was born on February 24, 1949, in Cheboygan Michigan, and lived a life filled with love, laughter, family, and cherished memories.
Karen was the devoted wife of Frank Alvarado, with whom she shared 61 wonderful years of marriage. Together they built a loving family and a lifetime of treasured experiences.
She was a proud and loving mom to her three daughters: Angie (Doug) Stack, Maria Alvarado, and Alicia (Bob) Favreau. Karen's greatest joy was her family, and she leaves behind a remarkable legacy through her seven grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense happiness to her life.
Karen will also be deeply missed by her many nieces and nephews, whose lives she touched with her kindness, warmth, and sense of fun.
She found joy in life's simple pleasures and loved spending time outdoors. Her favorite hobbies included hunting, playing cards and board games, feeding and watching her beloved birds, trying her luck at slot machines, and, most importantly, spending time surrounded by family, her dog, and friends. Her laughter, competitive spirit, and loving heart made every gathering special.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby and John Byczynski; her sister, Janet; and her brother, Kenny.
Those who knew Karen will remember her as a devoted wife, loving mom, proud grandma, great-grandma, and a loyal friend. Her love for family, generous spirit, and joyful presence will be forever cherished and greatly missed.
Though she is no longer with us, the memories she created and the love she shared will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.Forever loved, forever remembered.
Funeral visitation will be held at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 Hill Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48439, on June 8, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 pm.
