Kathleen Anne Johnston

Kathleen Anne (Hathaway) Johnston – Age 66, of Grand Blanc and formerly of Commerce Township, died peacefully on December 14, 2014 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, MI. Kathy was born in Flint, the daughter of Robert and Therese (Lambert) Hathaway. She was a graduate of Flint Southwestern High School (1966) and Michigan State University (1970). She was married to Al Johnston in 1970. They celebrated their 44th anniversary this month. Kathy loved all things artistic and created many beautiful quilts and crocheted, knitted and woven works of art. Kathy also loved music, children and her pets. She was a loving wife, sister and granddaughter. She taught, assisted or volunteered in school projects and events for over thirty years. She is survived by her husband Al, sister Lynn (Richard) Scarlett of Davison, brother Donald (Deborah) Hathaway of Alger, nephew Rob Hathaway of Waterford, niece Lisa Warren of Plymouth, mother-in-law Norma Johnston of Swartz Creek, sister-in-law Sandra (John) Wilson of Ann Arbor.
