

Kevin Joseph Hale, 67, of Grand Blanc, Michigan passed away on October 22, 2024. Born August 9, 1957 in Indianapolis, Indiana, he grew up in Indianapolis, attending Ben Davis High School. After serving in the Air Force from 1976 to 1980, he pursued his passion for higher education, ultimately graduating from Indiana University and Indiana University School of Dentistry. He practiced Pediatric Dentistry in Brighton, Michigan from 1991 until his retirement in 2015. He was not only a practitioner but a passionate advocate for children’s oral health, actively participating in the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Academy of Pediatrics, Section on Oral Health. His commitment to the the profession was further exemplified by being the founding director of Points of Light, a program aimed at improving children’s oral health under the Michigan Dental Association.
Kevin’s life was not confined to his professional achievements; his personal pursuits were equally vibrant. Kevin embraced adventure and the outdoors. He was a passionate rock climber and many will recall him saying “it’s the source…will change your life.” He was particularly proud of achieving his goal of climbing 5.12. In addition, he was a skier, snowboarder, scuba diver, runner, swimmer, sailor, and private pilot. He also found joy in cooking, especially with friends and family, and in entertaining.
Kevin is survived by his wife and partner in adventure, of 33 years, Elizabeth Hale, his siblings, Ann Nicholas, Monica (Tim) Hale-Fought, and Monta Hale, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Monta and Armella Hale, and his sister Mary Turner.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Kevin at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan, on April 26, 2025, between 11:00am - 2:00pm.
