

Lawrence was born on August 28, 1931 to Stephen and Rose Wyczalek of Flint Michigan. He graduated from Flint Tech High School and General Motors Institute. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1952-1954 in the 2nd Air Wing-Mag.35, at Cherry Point North Carolina. He met Sharon Lapenas on a blind date and they were married on August 16,1958. They went on to have 5 children, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Lawrence made a career with General Motors Buick Motor Division for 46 years, (1949-1995) as a Journeyman in Tool and Dye and as a mechanic at General Motors Buick. He enjoyed puttering in the yard, working on home projects and loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents Rose and Stephen Wyczalek, his wife Sharon, brothers Richard and Floyd, sisters Marcella and Marie and grandson Chad Wyczalek.
Lawrence is survived by their 5 children: Julie (Mike) Lewandowski, Mark (Jane) Wyczalek, Anne (Joel)
Hooper, Michael (Tonya) Wyczalek and Ellen Hunt. 8 Grandchildren: Damian Wyczalek, Lyndsay (David) Gregson, Megan (Carl) Boone, Krista Williams, Paige (Dom) Kryla, Brooke Hooper, Erik Wyczalek, and Brooklyn Wyczalek. 5 Great Grandchildren: Evelyn, Henry, Lucy, Jack and Camden. sister: Maxine Courchesne. He has also left behind many loving nieces and nephews.

Lawrence will be buried at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 4142 Flushing Rd., Flint, Michigan. A memorial celebration will be held at a later date.
