Lester Jerry Convis

CONVIS, LESTER JERRY age 72 died Sunday, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015 at the Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 8, 2015 at the Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, MI. Paige Convis officiating. Interment at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 top 8:00 P.M. with a Masonic Memorial at 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, Chicago, IL. Lester was born November 9, 1942 in Flint, MI to parents J.D. and Berneice (Botsford) Convis. He married Rozella June Dodds on July 17, 1965, sharing nearly 50 years of love and partnership together. They have two children Tammy Convis and Teri Convis-Warren. Lester was a humorous, gentle and hard-working man, retiring from Buick Motors after many years. He was lovingly dedicated to his family. He was a life member of Flushing, Masonic Lodge #223 and the Elf Khurafeh Shrine Temple. Surviving are his wife and children and grandchildren whom he raised like his own, Paige and Andrew Convis; great-grandson Andrew Jr.; brothers Carl (Linda) Convis, Donald (Bobbie) Convis, Jack (Elaine) Convis; sisters Carolyn (BJ) Kirby, Marie Shultz; many nieces and nephews that will miss him very much. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers Bob and Warren Convis; sisters Faye Wezell, Charlotte Tarkington, Evelyn Harris and several nieces and nephews.
