Lisa Marie Duso Krohn

KROHN, Lisa Marie – Age 50 of Battle Creek, MI (formerly of Flint) passed away suddenly of a heart attack at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo, MI on Tuesday, November 1, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc, MI, with Rev. James H. Austin officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Lisa was born August 24, 1961 in Flint, the daughter of Wilfred and Dolores (Oberman) Duso. She graduated from Flint Northern High School in 1979 and was a member of the marching band. Lisa started her career in medicine at the age of 16, washing and sterilizing vacutainers for Flint Medical Lab. She later became a certified Phlebotomist and Medical Assistant, holding these positions until her death. She married Dennis Krohn June 18, 1988 in Davison, MI and together they raised their daughter Taylor Marie, who is now a Junior at Grand Valley State University. Lisa was always full of laughter and was the “clown” of her family and friends. There was never a dull moment when she was around. Surviving are: her husband Dennis; daughter Taylor; 3 brothers, David (Sharon) Duso, Steven Duso and James (Alicia) Duso; mother, Dolores Duso, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was predeceased by her father Wilfred Duso on Memorial Day 1998.
