Marcia lived a full life, growing up in Davisburg, MI with her parents, Edward and Fern Fuller, and eight siblings. She attended Holly High School.
Marcia lived most of her adult life in Oxford, MI with her husband, Bud DeLong, and her children. She was an active member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Oxford for many years where she joined other volunteers to work on the Altar Guild and F.I.S.H. She also worked as the church’s wedding planner and she worked for many years with the Holy Cross Lutheran Preschool. She also became very active with the Oxford Crisis Pregnancy Center. Her family and her church family were a huge part of her life.
When Bud and Marcia retired, they moved to the Huron Beach area in Northern Michigan, where they gained many close friends. For 24 years, she enjoyed being active in the Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Quilt Club, and The Huron Beach Association. They also traveled extensively, taking many trips to sightsee and visit friends and family on their Honda Goldwing and also with their travel trailer.
In the last chapter of her life, Bud and Marcia lived in Waterford, MI. They sought out Christian fellowship at St. Stephen Lutheran Church where they were welcomed as new members. They were also befriended by their wonderfully caring neighbors.
Marcia is survived by her husband Byron: daughters Tammy (Tim) Taylor, Shari (Brian) Hanna: sons Matt (Amy) DeLong and Ken (Debbie) DeLong: her brother Rod Fuller and sister Jeannine Nelson. She also leaves 9 grandchildren and 7 (almost 8) great-grandchildren, along with many extended family and friends to mourn her loss.
We are all comforted by the knowledge that we will be reunited one day in Heaven to live with our Heavenly Father for all eternity!
The memorial service will be held on Friday, October 8th at 11:00 am at Woodside Bible Church, 2500 Joslyn Rd., Lake Orion, MI 48360 with a luncheon to follow.
