Marilyn Jean Myers, age 95, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and sister passed away at Covenant Health Care, Saginaw, Michigan on May 4, 2024 and is now with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Marilyn was born on July 6, 1928 in Sebewaing, Michigan to Walter P. Hahn and Vera Hintze. She graduated from Sebewaing High School in 1946. Upon her graduation she pursued work with Western Union in Kalamazoo, Michigan where she was accepted after out-typing several other candidates. Marilyn married Walter P. Myers in Sebewaing, Michigan on July 7, 1951. Marilyn was a 30 year member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Saginaw where she was a long time Sunday School teacher. She was a current member at Community Baptist on Gratiot. Marilyn enjoyed reading the Bible, playing the piano, tending to her birds, plants and garden.
Marilyn was a wonderful woman and will be deeply missed. She is survived by her children: Lisa McNish, Steven (Catherine) Myers, Stanley (Julie) Myers; grandchildren: Kevin Myers, Greg McNish, Andy McNish, Shane Myers, Jessica (Scott) Wilson, Spencer Myers; great-grandchildren: Isabel and Harley; sisters: Janet Haskell, Kathy Haist; brother, Dennis (Nan) Hahn; and many nieces and nephews. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; parent-in-laws; husband, Walter; brother and sister-in-laws: Burdette Myers, Arlene Myers, Don Haskell; son-in-law, Richard "Rick" McNish.
The Myers family would like to express sincere gratitude to the doctors and staff of Covenant Healthcare and medical personnel that assisted in her care.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024 from 11:00am until time of service at 12:00pm at Community Baptist Church - 8331 Gratiot Road, Saginaw, Michigan with Pastor Douglas Jackson officiating. Entombment will follow at Oakwood Memorial Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to Community Baptist Church or Saginaw Rescue Mission in memory of Marilyn. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hill Funeral Home, Grand Blanc, Michigan. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.hillfh.com.
