

SIBILSKY, Marjorie G., age 91 of Flint passed away Friday, May 14, 2010 at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc following a short illness. Visitation Sunday 2-5 and 7-9 PM at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw, Grand Blanc. Visitation Monday 10:00 AM at Kirkridge Presbyterian Church, 8070 S. Saginaw in Grand Blanc, until funeral service at 11:00 AM. Rev. Glenn G. Grant officiating. Interment to follow service at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Flint. In 1937, Marjorie graduated from Flint Central High School and attended Michigan State University. Marjorie will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, kind and fun-loving nature and her ability to live life to the fullest. She was an extremely positive lady who had a genuine love for everyone she knew and encountered. Mrs. Sibilsky was a member of Kirkridge Presbyterian Church as well as a sustained member of the Flint Junior League, Needlework Guild Association and Kappa Alpha Theta. Marjorie volunteered as a teacher’s aide at Holy Rosary School and participated in the St. Matthew’s Mothers Club and Flint Community Players. She also was known for teaching dance. Beloved mother of Mary Helen Covert, Robert (Rebecca) Sibilsky, Barbara (Michael) Luea, Cathy (Bill) Covert and David W. Sibilsky. Dear grandmother of David (Catalina) Sibilsky, Michelle (Tom) Curless, Sara (Tim) Byrd, Rick Covert, Brian (Carla) Covert, Dan (Bernice) Luea, Peter (Susan) Luea, Bridget (Mike) Roe, Jon (Cristin) Luea, Tim Luea, Christopher (Linda) Luea, Jim (Rachel) Read, Laura Gibson, Travis Covert, Glenn (Rosie) Boroski, Rebecca Covert, Chris (Carol) Bishop, Tim (Melissa) Bishop, Nicholas Sibilsky and 36 loving great grandchildren. Sister of Dorothy Graff. Aunt of Pat Arvilla, Hank (Bonnie) Graff, Mary Lou Sawyer, Steven (Susannah) Sibilsky, Mark (Brenda) Sibilsky, Anne (Kurt) Schulze, Susan (David) Wallace and Matthew Sibilsky. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Sibilsky on March 13, 1990; son-in-law, Roger Covert; daughter-in-law, Toni Sibilsky; great grandson, Connor Timothy Byrd; and brother-in-laws, Max Graff and Herbert (Betty) Sibilsky. Thank you to the ICU staff at Genesys Hospital for the wonderful treatment and care given to Marjorie and special thanks to Dr. Y. Ramalingam of Goodrich, her family physician of many years.
