Martha Elizabeth Skaff

SKAFF, MARTHA ELIZABETH, of Grand Blanc age 82, died Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at her home. Cremation has taken place. Family will receive visitors for a Memorial Visitation from 1:00 to 4:00 and 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Saturday, May 5, 2012, at the Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, MI.. Martha was born December 20, 1929 in Flint, MI to parents Arthur and Rose C. (Jakovitz) Myers. She was a 1947 graduate of Flint Central High School. On November 24, 1950 she wed John “Jack” Skaff. Martha was a hard worker and a ‘get it done’ type of person. She loved spending time with her family, especially the “Apple of her Eye” her grandson John; traveling to many antique car related activities with her family; sailing Lake Fenton during her younger years; collecting shells and walking the beach while “wintering” in FL. She was an avid Hallmark Ornament collector; and volunteered and was president of the Whaley Historical House.

Surviving are her husband of 61 years Jack; daughters Sandra Mamish of Grand Blanc and Pamela Skaff of Stone Mountain, GA; grandson John Mamish; brother Donald Myers; nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express the sincerest thanks to Martha’s wonderful caregivers Carolyn, Jan, David and Karen; many close friends; Dr. Bouvier; and also McLaren Hospice, especially RN Natalie.
