Maude Almyra Halvarson

Maude Almyra Halvarson, age 78, of Lupton, Michigan passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022. Maude was born July 10, 1943 to the late George and Gladys (Heath) Stratton. She was a lovely and talented lady who enjoyed crocheting and rug making. Maude took great pleasure in going for car rides, especially up north where she admired taking in the beautiful scenic views and seeing the trees change colors with the seasons.

In her spare time, Maude loved camping, and playing her puzzle games. She loved watching her television shows like The Andy Griffith Show, and Animal Planet was one of her favorite channels. Maude adored her dogs, and over the past 30 years always had a furry companion by her side. Every year you could always find Maude taking in the sights of the local County Fair, and during summer months she looked forward to firework displays. Maude was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister who will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Maude leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving children Marie A. (Joel) Munn, Tony (Lisa) Freeland, Mitchell F. (Melissa) Freeland and Melvin P. (Brandi) Freeland; precious grandchildren Christina, Kyle, Donna, Chelsea, Toni Marie, Erika, Garrett, Alonna, Gavin, Austin, Tyler, Chance and Abilene; many treasure great grandchildren; dear sister Betty Lou Stratton and dear sister in law Elsie Stratton.

Maude is preceded in death by her loving husband of almost 30 years, Roland Halvarson and family members Drew Baker, George Stratton, David Stratton, Leroy Stratton and her parents.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, from 4pm to 8pm at Brown Funeral Home, - 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc, MI. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at 1pm at Brown Funeral Home, with visitation prior beginning at 11am, and the service will be officiated by Pastor Paul Heaton.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association in Maude’s honor.
