Maxine N. Ward

WARD, Maxine N. (Danks) – age 93 passed away on August 4, 2016 in Flint, Michigan. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 8, 2016 at 1 PM with one hour of visitation prior to at Brown Funeral Home – 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, MI 48439. Visitation will take place on Sunday, August 7, 2016 from 4 PM – 8 PM at Brown Funeral Home. Maxine was born on November 12, 1922 in Pentwater, Michigan. She graduated from Beecher High School in 1940. She was one of the Rosy the Riveter’s during the war. She spent many moments traveling the world with her sister and friends. Maxine was an excellent bowler; she was even in the Senior Olympics Bowling. She loved to play card games, board games, BINGO, and going to the casino. Maxine was a member of the Archery club and loved to teach her family how to shoot a bow and arrow. Maxine filled the hearts of all who knew her with her love, kindness, and compassion. She is survived by her son: Bruce (Margaret) Danks; grandchildren: Rebecca (Manny) Trevino, Bryan (Susan) Danks, and Bradley (Julie) Danks; great-grandchildren: Haley Danks, Kyle Danks, Allison Trevino, Tanner Danks, Chris Trevino, and Meghan Danks; brother: Elmer Wolford Jr.; sister: Vivian Compton; and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements under the direction of Brown Funeral Home, Grand Blanc, MI.
